Franklin CBOC: Wayah Street Road Closure and Detours

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Beginning June 20, 2019 Wayah Street will be closed to all through traffic from the intersection of Wells Grove and Depot Street to the intersection of Porter Street and US 441 Business.

The entrance at Depot Street/Wayah Street will be completely closed off with not through traffic.

The preferred entrance to the CBOC will be at US 441 Business and Porter Street. Be advised there will be a number of barricades surrounding the entrance.

This closure is necessary for the construction of the new round-a-bout at the intersection of Depot Street and Wells Grove Road.

Wayah Street has an anticipated re-opening date of August 24, 2019.

The detour route for local traffic West bound will be Depot Street to East Main Street/US 441 Business South.

The detour route for local traffic East bound will be US 441 Business North then right on Depot Street.

All are advised to drive with caution and to obey posted speed limits.
