COVID-19 Pandemic Operating Requirements

Please call/contact your Primary Care clinic with symptoms to expedite your care so that we may minimize your wait time and potential exposure.

If you have a fever, cough or other cold symptoms, be prepared to talk about recent travel and/or contact with others with these symptoms.

UNIVERSAL MASKING

The current requirement at ALL Western North Carolina VA health Care System facilities is that all persons medically able to wear a face covering must wear one while in our facilities. This is for Veteran and Staff safety.

Our facility remains partially open for in-person or virtual service – some health services are available, and some are not.

For the safety of our patients, visitation is limited. No children under the age of 12 may come into the hospital or clinics at this time.

  • No visitors with flu-like symptoms within the last 24 hours:

    • Fever                               

    • Cough

    • Body Aches

    • Sore Throat

    • Runny Nose

    • Nasal Congestion

    • Diarrhea, Nausea or Vomiting

  • Limit visitors to immediate family or caregivers who are not experiencing flu-like symptoms. Exceptions granted for critical situations or clergy on case-by-case basis.

    • Only one person may accompany patients to outpatient or clinic visits.

  • Patients or anyone experiencing these symptoms, must wear a mask while in the facility.
