Patient and visitor parking is designated as lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 4A adjacent to the main entrance to the Medical Center.    Lots 6, 9, 19, and 20 are open parking lots and may be used by patients, visitors, and employees.  In the event that these lots are full, the Medical Center Police may direct visitors and patients to park in any available space.

Contractor Parking

Contractor employees may park adjacent to building 9, off Riceville Road.

Handicapped Parking

There are handicapped spaces designated in lots 3 and 5 in front of the Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center and in front of the main entrance to the Ambulatory Care Addition.  There are also wheelchair operator spaces immediately behind the hospital in lot 17.

Security

VAMC Asheville Police Officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial 5310. In case of an emergency, dial 2575. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
