About the Program

The VAMC Asheville Women's Health Program is designed to ensure that the unique needs of female veterans are appropriately addressed in a professional, comfortable setting.

Services Offered

VAMC Asheville services for women include —

• Comprehensive primary care services
• Preventive health services
• Gender specific care for female patients.
• Reproductive and maternity care
• Screening and evaluation for Military Sexual Trauma
• Evaluation and treatment for osteoporosis
• Referral to appropriate specialists when necessary
   

Mental health services, including treatment for post traumatic stress disorder, are also available for women. Treatment for substance abuse is available as well.
